Headmaster

The Miguel Almeida Academia de Surf it’s a surf school working since 1996, dynamized by Miguel Almeida.
Miguel Almeida is graduate in Physical Education with more than 36 years of pratice in several sports. Miguel Almeida has more than 23 years experience in teaching and training, 15 of them in surf.
Miguel Almeida as two post graduations, in High Performance Training and in Surf, and is  certified coach by 4 federations, including the Portuguese Surfing Federation since 1966.
Miguel Almeida is also the pioneer who introduce  surf in the oficial school sports system.
As a coach have works with athletes from begginers to international level athletes.
In the Portuguese Surfing Federation he was the National Technical Director in 1998 and 99. Since 1998 is the coaching formation responsible. More than 500 coaches have been graduated since then under his tutelage .

Our mission as teaching agents is based on the satisfaction of every student, through the use of the right surfboards, the adequate teaching methode and by the respect for the learning and physical capacity of each student.
